The true nature of Mikheil Saakashvili's mysterious four day visit to Munich last week has continued to deepen after the Georgian government's official international bulletin - Georgia Update - failed to report any details of the conference the president claimed to have attended.
Although the bulletin once again displayed the willingness of the Georgian public authorities to use government resources to attack the opposition - the bulletin singles out Zurab Noghaideli for criticism - it makes no mention at all of the president's trip.
The key questions remain open:
- Who did the president meet on his trip?
- What did it cost and where is the money coming from?
- Who came with him?
- What foreign leaders were at this mysterious conference on "Georgia at a new crossroads"?
- What were their conclusions?
- What lessons did the president and the rest of the Georgian delegation draw from the event?
