Today the Azeri courts jailed two bloggers, Andnan Hajizade and Emin Milli, for making a satirical video (see below) for the internet on human rights in Azerbaijan and the media's relationship with official spokespeople and announcements.
The story has been making global headlines for months but has been ignored by the official Georgian media - even though it is happening on their doorstep.
Today it is again being reported across the world: for instance here and here and here.
But nothing, again, on the Georgian media.
Could the reluctance to cover this story be because the tactics of the Azeri authorities - persecute the bloggers on trumped up charges of "hooliganism" (a direct hangover from Soviet-era "justice") is the same as that used by georgian authorities?
