Gigi Ugulava, who has thus far relied on state control of the broadcasters to stage high-gloss scripted events alongside President Mikheil Saakashvili or other senior officials of the regime, seems to have changed tack after the success of Irakli Alasania's programme of street meetings.
Today's 15.00 Kurieri bulletin on Rustavi 2 featured Ugulava out on the streets meeting groups of residents in a straight copy of Alasania's tactics over the last fortnight.
